SILK ROAD VIOLET
Description
SILK ROAD VIOLET seeds
A Tall, Sativa-Dominant Hybrid for Collectors
Silk Road Violet is an exotic, sativa-dominant hybrid. It originates from a cross between a selected Cambodia Pink Lavender male (dark phenotype) and a mother plant from our Pakrai75 hybrid (Pakistan1975 × Thai Chiang Rai). It stands out for its spectacular purple, pink, and red hues, massive production of crystalline resin, excellent adaptability to both indoor and outdoor environments, and an aromatic profile featuring citrus and incense notes.

Genetics and Botanical Origin
Exotic Lineage and Ancestry
In this creation, we bring together three legendary pillars of cannabis botany. Providing chromatic element, depth and equatorial vigour, we used a selected male specimen of Cambodia Pink Lavender (dark phenotype) as the father. On the maternal side, the Pakrai75 line fuses the resinous abundance and structure of Pakistan1975 with the slender profile and potency of Thai Chiang Rai—one of our most resinous Thai varieties. The result pays homage to ancient Asian trade routes, blending ancestral genetics into a sleek, modern hybrid structure.
Vegetative Structure and Morphology
Despite the broad-leaf influence of the Pakistan1975 in its lineage, Silk Road Violet develops distinctly Sativa-like foliage, featuring slender, deeply serrated leaves with 7 to 9 leaflets. During the vegetative phase, it exhibits a symmetrical, conical growth pattern that is very easy to manage. In the flowering stage, the buds develop into thick, ultra-resinous spikes with a morphology resembling crab claws, displaying a very high calyx-to-leaf ratio that greatly simplifies the trimming process.
Organoleptic Profile and Effects
Terpenes, Aroma, and Flavor
This strain offers a profound sensory experience centred on long-lasting citrus and spicy profiles:
Primary Notes: Distinct fragrance of ripe mandarin and green guava, with nutty undertones.
Aftertaste: A dense, fragrant, incense-like quality that lingers on the palate during both inhalation and exhalation.
Experience, Effects, and Use
As a fine sativa of Asian lineage, Silk Road Violet stands out for its uplifting, euphoric, and social psychoactive effect—ideal for daytime, creative, or outdoor activities. Its progression is clean and energetic, gradually evolving into a state of tranquillity and contemplative physical relaxation without becoming sedative or narcotic.
Cultivation Characteristics: Indoor and Outdoor
Adaptability for Indoor and Outdoor Cultivation
Silk Road Violet responds exceptionally well to indoor cultivation. Its relatively short flowering cycle (8–10 weeks) and well-distributed conical structure make it easy to control height through pruning, low-stress training (LST), or techniques like SCROG. Indoors, trichome and resin production is extremely abundant. Outdoors or in a greenhouse, the plant demonstrates great vigour and proven adaptability at altitudes ranging from 1500 to 2800 metres. It is highly likely to thrive at lower altitudes as well, given its genetic lineage.
Phenotype Expression and Visual Spectacle
We have observed four (4) main phenotypes, all with a very high likelihood of developing purple, reddish, and pink hues in both indoor and outdoor environments:
Purple Phenotypes: These exhibit variations ranging from intense violet to purples so dark that they appear almost black, accompanied by sparse stigmas and a low leaf-to-bud ratio.
Green Phenotypes: These develop green calyxes with purple tips as they approach maturity.
Coloured Trichomes: When inspecting the flowers with a magnifying glass (at least 30x), one can observe a unique blend of trichome heads and resin glands tinted in pink and reddish tones, a trait derived from their Cambodian heritage.
FAQ
Can Silk Road Violet be grown indoors?
Yes, it is perfectly suited for indoor cultivation. Its short flowering period (8–10 weeks) and uniform structure make it easy to control height under artificial lights using training or pruning techniques.
How long does Silk Road Violet take to flower?
Unlike other pure equatorial sativas with very long flowering times, Silk Road Violet completes its flowering in just 8 to 10 weeks, inheriting accelerated maturation without sacrificing quality or sativa vigour.
How likely is it to get purple or pink phenotypes?
The likelihood of obtaining purple, pink, or reddish phenotypes is very high, as the Cambodia Pink Lavender parent line dominantly passes these anthocyanin-driven hues on to the offspring.
